new hooked rug and first rug
35" x 57"
Wool
My first rug:
My grandfather was a hooked rug maker.
Hooked rugs have been a New England tradition since the 1830's.
This rug below, I made with yarn that my grandfather hand dyed himself.
It was left over in the supplies I inherited.
You don't find colors like this in any yarn store today!
